What reviewers say

Owners and hunting writers say these are a clear step up from budget binoculars and handle dusk glassing well for a 42 mm glass. The lifetime warranty comes up in almost every review as a main reason to buy. Lab tester AllBinos praised the build, sharp center and BaK-4 prisms but measured noticeable color fringing and distortion toward the edges. AllBinos also notes that "HD" here does not mean low-dispersion glass as it does on Vortex's Viper and Razor lines. Their verdict: solid value, but don't expect high-end performance at this price.

Good

  • Sharp, bright center image for the money
  • Light, compact 10x42 size for a chest harness
  • Waterproof, fogproof and well armored
  • Lifetime warranty with no questions asked
  • Tripod adaptable

Not so good

  • Edge sharpness and color fringing trail pricier glass
  • "HD" does not mean ED glass on this line
  • 10x shows more hand shake than 8x for some users

Who it's for

Hunters and wildlife watchers who want one good pair of binoculars that will last and be covered if something breaks. Skip them if you glass for hours at long range and can afford premium glass.
