What reviewers say

Reviewers call it BOTE's simple, beginner-friendly board. It feels stable at 34 inches wide and is well made for the price. It cruises at a steady pace rather than a fast one. SupBoardGuide liked the light weight and build but disliked the fixed side fins, which get in the way when storing and can warp if left in heat; note their test was of an earlier 10'8" version. A travel blogger who took the 11'6" to the Caribbean found it easy to pump by hand in about five minutes, but said BOTE's stiffer HD Aero would handle wind and chop better.

Good

  • Light enough to carry and check as airline luggage
  • Stable platform for beginners
  • Works with BOTE's Rac and cooler accessories
  • Kit includes paddle, pump and bag

Not so good

  • Fixed side fins make rolling and storage awkward
  • Less suited to wind and chop than stiffer boards
  • Leash not listed in the board-only kit
  • Reviewers question how long the travel bag holds up

Who it's for

New and casual paddlers on calm lakes, rivers and protected bays who need a board that packs small. Skip it if you paddle open water in wind most of the time.
